This piece was expertly cut and polished by Marlin Cliz. The Alamo bolide impact occurred about 367 million years ago. One or more hypervelocity objects from space slammed into the shallow marine waters at a site that is now called the Devonian Guilmette Formation of the Worthington Mountains and Schell Creek Range of southeastern Nevada.
